Best Of Fringe Magic Adelaide Fringe show at Gluttony Is Back

for Adelaide Fringe 2026 with a bigger, bolder and more international lineup than ever before. From 19 February to 1 March, Best Of Fringe Magic Adelaide Fringe show at Gluttony returns with a bolder and more international lineup than ever before. The Gosling tent at Gluttony turns into a nightly meeting place for world-class magicians from Australia, South Africa and Singapore – plus a different guest magician every single show.

Adelaide Fringe 2026: Magic under the Gluttony lights

On Fringe nights, Gluttony in Rymill Park feels like the beating heart of Adelaide – food stalls, fairy lights, live music and a hundred conversations happening at once. Best Of Fringe Magic invites you to duck into the Gosling tent for one tight, high-energy hour where that festival buzz focuses into pure, live magic.

The show is rated PG, so it’s smart, funny and a little cheeky without crossing the line – perfect for date nights, families with older kids, friendship groups and anyone looking for a “can’t go wrong” magic show at Adelaide Fringe 2026.

An international magic lineup (and a different guest every night)

This year, Best Of Fringe Magic proudly leans into its international credentials. On any given night you might see:

  • Australia: Sam King – award‑winning Adelaide magician and comedian.

  • South Africa: Stuart Lightbody – internationally acclaimed sleight‑of‑hand artist.

  • Singapore: Baenedict Thiveanathan – modern, visual magic with serious finesse.

On top of that, there is a different guest magician every single night between 19th February and 1st March. That means no two shows are quite the same. One night you might get mind-reading and psychological magic, another night wild visual illusions, another night hardcore sleight of hand – which makes this an easy show to see twice and bring new friends.

Sam King: Adelaide’s award-winning host

Best Of Fringe Magic is presented and hosted by Sam King, the Adelaide-based magician and comedian behind Adelaide Magic Theatre and a familiar face on the Fringe circuit.

Stuart Lightbody: Sleight-of-hand from South Africa

From South Africa, Stuart Lightbody brings a completely different flavour of magic to the show. He’s a multi‑award‑winning magician, a South African magic champion and a past Adelaide Fringe “Best Magic” award winner, known for close-up card and object work that looks impossibly clean.

Baenedict Thiveanathan:

Slick, modern magic from Singapore

Representing Singapore, Baenedict Thiveanathan adds a sleek, contemporary edge to the lineup. He specialises in both close-up and stage magic, blending smooth technique with a relaxed, charming stage presence.

With a limited run from 19th February to 1st March and an international, award-winning lineup plus a different guest magician every night, Best Of Fringe Magic is designed to be one of those “you had to be there” shows people talk about for the rest of the festival.

If you’re planning your Adelaide Fringe 2026 calendar and want one magic show that delivers big reactions, real variety and a true Gluttony-at-night experience, book Best Of Fringe Magic at the Gosling tent now before the best nights disappear.
